Teams let you add published SharePoint pages or lists as a tab in it’s channel. SharePoint pages are good to share ideas using images, videos, links, and documents. SharePoint lists on the other hand are a great way to collaborate on content and data.

Team members can view pages and edit lists in the Teams tab. SharePoint tab in Teams often used to paste  pages, news posts, or lists from a published SharePoint site.

How to Add a Page from Your Team Site

  1. In Teams, select any channel page. To the right of the channel name, select the +(add) on the tab bar.

2. Select the SharePoint tab or select the SharePoint Pages tab from the apps.

3. Now select the Pages to see a list of existing SharePoint pages and news post available from your team site. Click on the SharePoint content to add as a tab in the Teams channel.

4. Select the “Post to the channel about this tab checkbox to generate a notification in the Teams channel. This will help your colleagues to get notified of this tab that you have added

5. Select Save.

How to Add a List from Your Team Site

  1. In Teams, select any channel page. To the right of the channel name, select the +(add) on the tab bar.

2. Select the SharePoint tab or select the SharePoint Pages tab. Select Lists to find the existing SharePoint lists available from your team site.

3. Select the SharePoint content to add as a tab in the Teams channel.

4. Select the “Post to the channel about this tab checkbox to generate a notification in the Teams channel. This will help your colleagues to get notified of this tab that you have added.

5. Select Save.

How to Add a Page or List from a Different Team Site

  1. In Teams, select any channel page. To the right of the channel name, select the +(add) on the tab bar.

2. Select the SharePoint tab, or select the SharePoint Pages tab.

3.Select the “Add a page or list from any SharePoint site link” and then paste the URL of the page, news post, or list that you want to add as a tab in Teams.

4. Paste the link in the URL field. Select the “Post to the channel about this tab checkbox to generate a notification in the Teams channel. This will help your colleagues to get notified of this tab that you have  added .

5. Select Save.
